In the Camera Bag & Digital Darkroom:

Like the old saying goes, “The best possible camera and lens you can have are the ones with you at the time.” With that said, make sure you get the best quality lenses you can afford. And you are using a tripod, aren’t you?

I have made a near complete transition to the mirrorless system now. The system is lightweight — better for my age —, the autofocus is unbelievable, and the image quality extraordinary. Oh yeah, the ability to use higher ISOs and still retain great resolution with little noise is unsurpassed. The Nikon Z9 and Z8 bodies are now my cameras of choice. The new features and enhancements for both still and video photography in these cameras are unsurpassed.
